A. Some type of entity [such as a council, university or health club chain] that has several different locations and/or business areas. For example, Venues within the software may be created on the basis of geography, business or financial reasons.
Q. Why is Multi Venue Important?
A. To be able to implement multiple venues within the database provides the facility for:
Real time and consolidated reporting on any venue from any location Management of all venues and their configuration can be carried out from any location according to security policy
‘Passport’ type memberships across venues
Simplified and centralised administration of the database
Eliminates any ‘data lag’ experienced in systems which use replication across servers.
Q. How is Multi Venue Implemented?
Venues are created within the software and are independently configured. Some properties are venue specific whilst other objects such as membership packages can be declared as cross venue. This means that customers can enter any facility where their package has entry permission and be immediately recognised.
If you wish to know how the system is implemented across separate geographic locations, please click here.
